Kaibo at Cayman Kai on Grand Cayman's north side is a truly rewarding tranquil retreat, open to the public daily and free of charge. Cayman Kaibo is always crowd free! Kaibo does not bus in cruise passengers! Grand Cayman Kaibo near Cayman Rum Point offers a broad selection of very reasonably priced drinks, meals and snacks at their popular and charming beach bar.
Kaibo on Grand Cayman near Rum Point also offers a five star restaurant serving unique gourmet food with unsurpassed ambiance. Extraordinary seating options include: private booths with panoramic ocean views and sand seating directly on their beautiful white sand beach.
Kaibo represents one of Grand Cayman's few remaining genuine retreats. Completely removed from full scale development, the owners of Kaibo prides themselves on providing visitors with an opportunity to experience Grand Cayman as it appeared decades ago. Like a trip back in time, a visit to Cayman Kaibo near Grand Cayman's Rum Point is relaxing and culturally rewarding.
Kaibo is located on Grand Cayman's tranquil Northside, making it the ideal place for a remote getaway. Visitors staying in the Seven Mile Beach area can drive to Kaibo in about 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Or, take advantage of Kaibo's Water Taxi service, which affords a scenic boat ride across the north sound and eliminates the risk of an accident or ticket after a day or evening of dining and drinking. Their water taxi fares are very reasonable and they offer discounts to Activity Guide readers and members, in addition to group savings.
The snorkeling near Kaibo is very good and diverse, with starfish and other interesting creatures in 1-3 foot depths that are not often found at any other snorkel locations throughout the Cayman Islands. Sparse boat traffic at Kaibo—particularly on the weekends, makes it a safe destination for snorkeling and swimming at all depths. Kaibo is also a great place for beginners to practice snorkeling. Their protective cove and sheltered lagoon, combined with the gentle sloping white sand beach makes this one of the easiest areas on Grand Cayman to enter and exit the water. Unlike most ares with easy entry, there is much to see close to shore. For deeper snorkeling or scuba diving, we recommend walking across the street from Kaibo to Cayman Kai Public Beach, where the water is clearer at greater depths.
One of Kaibo's most popular special theme presentations is their "We Love Sundays" event, which they offer every Sunday. The Cayman Islands most traditional weekend destination has always been Northside, now Kaibo offers the most relaxed fun filled Sunday on the island. Due to the enormous popularity and limited number of people allowed (Kaibo guarantees a crowd free experience), it's a good idea to reserve this ahead of time. Be sure to mention the Activity Guide discount for special rates on their water taxi!
Tips for We Love Sunday:
• Reserve a tented double lounger
• Order an ice bucket and Sunday bottle specials
• Treat yourself to a professional massage in the privacy of your curtained cabana
• Ease into the day with a yoga class at 11am
• Enjoy the Sunday food specials
• Take a nap in the luxury of your own secluded lounger
It's now even easier to chill out at Northside’s favorite Sunday spot.
