Pirate's Week festivities in the Cayman Islands start with a mock "pirate invasion" from the sea. Two old-time sailing vessels—including the famous Jolly Roger—loaded with friendly "pirates" make a Saturday surprise landing at the bowl-shaped George Town harbour as thousands of residents and visitors alike line Cayman's streets to participate in the spectacle or just watch and enjoy the festivities.
Cayman Islands Pirates Week is good-natured fun and there is a new twist every year. Families always love Cayman's Pirate's Week because it provides the perfect adventure to bring together both young and old to celebrate in the festivities together.
Cayman Islands Pirates Week is the only event of its kind in the entire Caribbean region.
