I am thinking of changing our cover design. What do you think?

I really love it - very classy and catches your eye! I think you should make the change for the August issue...I've heard a rumor about the cover... Wink

This won't change our online branding or our t-shirts. Kim - the 'rumor' may not happen right away. I've been too busy too do the covers myself this issue, hence the new design. I might be using Rebecca Davidson for at least the next several issues.

I like it a lot!!! In keeping with Kim's posting, I think that the people on the front should be much younger and maybe have a mirror image....I know where you can find youngsters like that.... Smile Smile Smile

Jen - Yeah, for future issues. We're kicking off a new Wedding section in August and I need the cover to match. Rebecca Davidson took that shot. I haven't written the copy on the front cover yet but it will say something to the effect of: "Featuring new Wedding Section".

Joe,

Looks great. Glad you posted a picture of the new cover since I might not have recognized it when we get there in about 3 weeks. As a creature of habit, I would have been looking for the familiar logo and overlooked it. Thanks.

Joe,

It looks very classy.

I'm not sure if it would be the same in print, but on-line, the bright blue type at the bottom is a little hard to read against the tan background. That's my only thought...

I'm just curious.....what made you decide to go for a new look? Just like John just said, going away from the familiar logo might even cause some people to not recognize it at first. Of course, that doesn't matter as long as the magazine still catches their eye, which this one would......then they'll pick it up anyway.

Char

Lets see, I like the Navy its the turquise on the sand without the black shadow which to me is a bit hard to read. Could just be our monitors.

Thanks everyone, for your feedback. I don't like the blue with drop shadows agains the tan background either and I agree that Activity Guide does not stand out enough. I'm supposed to get it back with those two things changed and a few other minor things in a few days. I hope she comes through or I'll need to slap something together myself really quick; I'm running out of time before deadline. What else is new! spin
