It seems like each island we visit has their own "special" drink. Is there we should make sure we try while we are in Grand Cayman? Thank you!

RUM PUNCH!

What I usually do is ask the bartender for their speciality...you really can't loose because they usually go with the favorite on the island and the one they make best...wink Cheers

Rum Punch or Cayman Mama's are the local ones. I love a good mudslide while there - either from Royal Palms or Marriott Beach Bar. Yummmm...

Cayman is known for it's RUM PUNCH! When I was there back in the 70's it had already been established as "their" specialty drink. If you fly Cayman Airways you are served free Rum Punches.

I second the Rum Punch. When my dad started to visit Grand Cayman in the late 70s/early 80s he returned and spoke often of the Rum Punches.

Another can't-lose drink is the Cayman Mama. Man, that mama has a kick to her.

Finally, we had killer mudslides at Driftwood (especially when Frank is tending bar) and at Brac Reef Beach Resort where the bartender was grinding a few Oreos up with the concoction.

DS Cheers

Someone has a drink called a Cayman Sunset that my bride likes. I have no idea where though since I'm a beer man myself.

I remember Kelly and I having a Cayman Sunset or two at Jack Rackam's in George Town. Thanks for reminding me, I should have mentioned it earlier.

If you go to Rackam's ask for Sloan (sp?). She's the Canadian Waitress of whom I wrote in my trip report. She's a load of fun, and a great waitress. When we were there her 4 year old twin nephews were visiting (Search and Destroy were there nicknames!). Even so, she was pleasant and efficient.

Enjoy,

DS
