Hello,

I am new so i hope this is the right place for this. I am going to Grand Cayman on Aug23-30 and was wondering if there was anything on 7 mile beach that was reasonable. this is my honeymoon and we were hoping to keep it under $1000. Thanks everyone.

Hi coffindancer

If you contact comfort suites thru this website it might be pretty close, we stay there and it's in a nice location plus breakfast is included

it's not right on the beach but just a short walk down a pathway

by the way, what's up with that strange name???!!!

being a Jeffrey Deaver fan, I'm going to venture a guess that this member is also a fan!!

(Deaver wrote a novel in 1998 titled "The Coffin Dancer" ....)

...could that be it???

Hi coffindancer,

Since you are going in August, which is in the low season for tourism, you might be able to find some good deals......be sure to check out the recommended properties through our feature.

I agree with Squidkisser that you might get a good deal at Comfort Suites.

Oh! I just had another thought! Since your parents are owners at Plantation Village, they can get a 10% discount if they ever want to rent a villa there. Maybe they can make that arrangement for you!

Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

Char

We just learned from our Travel Agent that due to some sort of Condo construction happening at the Comfort Suites, we no longer have ocean view rooms. Just a note if that is what you are looking for?

I just have a couple of quick questions - I read (in the wonderful forum with bounding information) that we can take the bus to Hell - can we also take a bus to Boatswain? Also, which is closer to CS, Fosters IGA or Kirks?

edyjo,

When we stayed at the c. suites we didn't have ocean view but for the money if you want to see the ocean just walk the very short walk to the beach and chill. We stayed on the lower floor right by the outside door it was real easy and fosters/gift shop is right outside your door. Also stingers is in your backyard its alittle bar to hang out at. They have a lua on wed. nights with a great buffet! Coconut Joe's is right across the street and Andys car rental. The marriott is also next door, its a beautiful hotel. Aqua beach is close as well as royal palms. We walked the 7mb to get their and we loved it. Hope this helps! Razz

Ocean view wasn't the most important, we were just disappointed.

edyjo,

I can certainly understand, we too were disappointed but once we saw how great the island was we got over it fast. We didn't spend much time in our room anyway. Hope you enjoy your stay!! ThumbsUp
