If I have a passport in my maiden name, but booked plane tickets in my married name (don't as me why I did that) can I still get into GC as long as I bring my marriage certificate?

Kaseys412,

Another member, Retriever, traveled with her passport in her maiden name and ticket was in her name. She provided them with her drivers license and it was fine. She actually commented that of all of the security people she saw, only two people noticed it.

Your dates are still about 6 months out, I would recommend calling the airline and see if you can change the name on the ticket - explain the marriage/name change thing and they may do it for you and then you won't have any worries. Otherwise you can see about changing your passport name, since you will have to change it anyways.

:palm:

I was asked for my marriage certificate several times. I have not changed my name yet but was still asked for it. Was a bit suprised since my passport and ticket had the same name. Guess it may have been because they were shocked my name wasnt changed. lol

caymantwins.. that's good news! I already called expedia but since we're going with 3 different airlines between all the flights down and back they told me I could call each one but chances weren't good they would do a name change for me, and if they did it would be for a fee... so I would just rather take both my birth and marriage certificate and my passport in my maiden name, that way I can sleep at night knowing the passports will be here in plenty of time before my trip.
