Never been to Grand Cayman so not sure really what the normal or going rate is to fly from Minneapolis to GC. I've been checking rates and flight times leaving June 7th and returning June 14th and I've seen them average about $700 is this normal? Will the rates go down or is that just want it costs for that time of year?

Thanks.

I would go to kayak.com. They will tell you the cheapest way to get down there. We are going in July and flying from Kansas City. Our tickets were a little over 500 with taxes and all. I found that rate on kayak. They told me to go to continentals page to buy the tickets. It was considerably more to go to travelocity, orbitz, and that type of place. Another good one is airfarewatchdog.com

Hope this helps.

I went ahead and did some checking on that. If I were you, I would consider flying on a different day. I looked on the monday june 9th to the next monday and the price of the ticket was $422 with Delta. That is with taxes and all. On your saturday it would be $700 if you didn't want a layover for 1 night. Hope this helps.

I agree with islulu.....if you could possibly change your dates from Saturdays to mid-week, you would cut the airfare considerably! Oops! I just remembered! You're staying at Plantation Village, so you have to go on Saturday to Saturday, don't you?

It's a shame that Northwest only offers the non-stop in the winter, and even then, only on Saturdays .....that's what we always take and this year we were lucky to get it for just under $600.

No getting around it, the tickets are quite expensive!
