The Botanic Park is in amazing condition. I haven't been there for a couple years and I don't ever remember it looking this good! They have added a lot of very cool new features.

I don't know the names of half of these things, but the pictures came out pretty good and I met a friendly Iguana. I will try to go back and fill in the names of everything as time goes by. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Very Happy

NOTE: I took all of these images using a Nikon D70s with a Nikon DX 1:3.5-4.5G ED Lens. You can get the camera with lens and all the accessories from Cathy Church Photo Gallery for under US$1,000 with the Activity Guide coupon. It comes with a full US warranty and no duty or sales tax. Wink

How beautiful! We didn't make it the first time, so just by seeing these pictures, I am going to go for sure now! I loved the lilly pads, I have those in my fish pond at home, but my flower is white. The reds are so vibrant!(sp) I love palm trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for the pictures Joe!

Thanks everyone - Since you liked them I added a couple more.

Celine - You can use any of the images you like. I consider it an honor that you like them enough to use for your designs. Cheers

gardengirl - Thanks! I am starting to get the hang of the new camera, and the colors are much better than the old one. I would have thought that you of all people would have the Botanic Park high on your list of places to go. nono1 Like Celine said it's pretty close to where you are staying. Admission is $6.00 and includes all the pictures you can take. Wink

c&m.merhar - Spring is probably the most colorful month - March through June. Most of the orchids bloom in the spring, but they have some that bloom year-round. I don't think there is any time of year when the Botanic Park would not be beautiful, and a fantastic photo opportunity.

Thanks Joe! I wouldn't use them for my dinnerware designs.......they're too good for that....would want to do a personal painting and it looks like you've done all the work as far as composition, lighting, color......wouldn't even require much cropping for the idea I have......if you're sure.... Very Happy
