Britannia Golf Course

Britannia is one of the most beautiful and challenging resort courses in the world featuring immaculately groomed greens, wide fairways and water in play on most holes (including shooting over the Caribbean Sea).

Jack Nicklaus has created a masterful course for the Britannia Golf Club reminiscent of the legendary courses such as Royal Troon, Turnberry, and Royal Birkdale. The hallmark of a Nicklaus design is his ability to provide players of all abilities with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. Britannia meets this test by taking advantage of the natural challenges and beauty of a seaside, or "links" layout. Once again, Jack Nicklaus has sculpted a picturesque classic.

From the regulation tees, you'll be tested with an exceptional nine-hole, championship

course. Each hole presents unique challenges that will force you to think your way

around the course - using every club in your bag.

This versatile course also features the finest par-57, eighteen-hole executive course

in the Caribbean. Strategically designed within the regulation holes are an additional

set of tees and greens that are used when the course is set up for executive play. This

innovative "course within a course" design was the genius of jack Nicklaus.

Britannia also offers an excellent restaurant and fully stocked bar.

For the most challenging and affordable golf on the island, play Britannia Golf Club, the only Jack Nicklaus designed course in the Caribbean.

Britannia is an extremely popular course and can be busy on the weekends. It is a good idea to book your tee times in advance.

Joe...Do you know how to contact Britania for tee times now that it doesn't appear to be a part of the Hyatt organization? I've tried the website but it kicks back saying Hyatt doesn't have a property in GC.

Thanks!

Mike,

I moved your question here. Just use the contact information listed in Joe's post above to inquire regarding tee times at Britannia. Any questions/problems, feel free to ask!

Mike,

The Links at Safehaven has been changed to North Sound Golf Course. Take a look at the recently updated post that includes the contact information

Don't forget to ask for your CAG discount when contacting them!

No wonder I couldn't find anything on it! I've sent e-mails to the addresses on the Safehaven site and would never hear back from anyone.

Thank you so much!!

My hubby played Safehaven 3x while we were there and Britannia 1x. He thought Safehaven was BEAUTIFUL and so was Britannia but he thought the greens at Britannia weren't as nice as Safehaven but he had a BLAST at both! (of course we are down some money cause they aren't cheap!)

I THINK, please dont quote me since my whole roll in the golfing is dropping him off and picking him up so I would have the car. I think Safehaven was $160 and Britannia was ummm $120??? maybe $110? or was it $140. Somewhere between 110 and 140 Laughing

We guessed about $150 so your numbers are probably right there! Now the real issue is whether or not the two of them will spring to pay for my greens fee as a thank you for the trip!Mr. Green

My guess is I will come out on the short end of this expense as well!!

Im here in the Caymans right now. Played golf today at Brittania and stopped by North Sound to book tomorrow, t-times.

USE THE ACTIVITY GUIDE DISCOUNTS! I don't see it in the magazine yet but they knock off $20 at North Sound per round, just say you saw the coupon in the Activity Guide online. $5-10 at Brittania depending on how many days, coupons in the magaizine

Both courses are in GREAT SHAPE, the weather is perfect!

Another early dive tomorrow with Off the Wall, Danny is one great guy. Another excellent pick Joe!
