US Dollars or Cayman Dollars???

Hi,

We are going to the Cayman on 4th November for a week. I was wondering what currency is better to pay with? I read that US Dollars are accepted on the Island. What would you recommend? Confused

Hi Lisa,



The CI dollar has a fixed exchange rate with the US dollar of CI$1.00 equals US$1.25. Or, the US dollar equals CI $.80.



US Dollars are accepted on the Island, so if you are coming from the US, there is no need to do any exchange. If you are paying in US $, and require change, you will receive your change in Cayman dollars.
