Yes, you will have a full kitchen with a 1 bedroom suite. There's a full-size frig, stove, microwave, toaster, blender, dishwasher, everything you will need!

Hi Missyb62,

We just got back 5 days ago from a weeks stay at the Grand Caymanian Resort and had a one bedroom suite. It was very nice to say the least. You couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. The one bedroom suite had a living room area with a couch and a loveseat, side tables, coffee table and a complete entertainment center with a large TV & remote, DVD player, VCR & a stereo. The kitchen had full size fridge, stove w/oven, mircowave, dishwasher and all the dishes & cooking supplies you will need. The bedroom had a king size bed, dresser, night stands, closet w/24 hangers and a large TV w/ remote. The bathroom had double sinks and a shower w/jacuzzi tub.

The grounds are very beautiful & floral with many different kinds of plants. The pool is large, deep and warm with plenty of lounge chairs to sit on. The beach is beautiful with many palm trees going right up to the water. My favorite part were the hammocks. The down side is you can't swim in the water. It is rocky and weedy, but it is nice to watch the boats going out to Stingray City.

The drive from West Bay Road to the Grand Caymanian is about 5 minutes. The road is paved, but winds around and has several speed bumps. If you want to go to Seven Mile Beach you can go to Royal Palms & they let you use their lounge chairs free. We went when 4 cruise ships were in port and although there were a lot of people there we found chairs to use. We also went to the beach in front of the Westin. We parked across the street in the plaza parking lot and walked over.

Hope you enjoy your stay there as much as we did. I will post a complete trip report with pictures this weekend.

Oh we are full aware of island time! This wil be our 5th year on the island, just our 1st time at the Grand Caymanian. I plan on taking full advantage of the hammock and doing alot of reading this year. So far my itenerary reads something like this: Get up, have coffee and breakfast, get to dive op, do 2 wonderful dives, Divegirl get back, to condo, do lunch, take a book to the beach wait for hubby to wake up from nap rockbed , do a shore dive Diving , go back to beach, pick book back up and wait for hubby to wake up from nap rockbed , go to dinner dine , grab a couple of beers Cheers and go to beach, chill and wait for bedtime just so I can do it all over again the next day!

Just got back from a week at this resort crying . Would love to still be there. Great condo. Great pool - kids loved it. Hammocks great. Did not like the speed bumps through the golf course. A beach entrance would be nice - they are working on that. The plans for the new pool are awesome. We ended up buying the time share. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.

DRIVING ON THE LEFT Drive WHAT A THRILL.

Ate at the Marriott was very good. Shopped at Fosters. Wow the prices, but you ARE on vacation.

Grilled steaks on night - ribeyes $12.00/lb CI Milk 5.00 CI -

We brought lunch meat and sausage and fish from home. Just froze it and carried it on in a small soft side cooler. NO problems.

missyb62, You left the very day we arrived. We loved it too. I do agree about the speedbumps. We however did not buy into it. Not that it was a bad deal, we just didn't think this was the best time for us. The rooms were very nice and and very roomy. The kitchen is completely furnished with every amenity. You don't even need to bring coffee filters. They empty trash daily but you only get fresh towels and maid service on Wed. You do have a washer and dryer in your room for the one bedroom suites. We took full advantage of that. I didn't bother taking photo's of the room because bonnie4winns had stayed there as well and took lots of great shots. All in all we really enjoyed our experience but we like staying on the ocean side and a little closer to Georgetown.

Hi Missyb62 and rumrunner,

Glad to hear you both enjoyed your stay at the Grand Caymanian. We wish that we would have bought a timeshare there and actually thought they would contact us once we were home but they didn't. I hope they don't take away those hammocks when the new pool goes in. We wondered why they just didn't just build one large pool with waterfalls to begin with. I hate to see them have to take out any of those palm trees. I agree it would be better without those speed bumps!

Does anyone know if the Grand Caymanian has outdoor grills? We are leaving Friday and can't wait to get there. Anything you know about the condo kitchen accommodations would be great. Thanks. Carol
