No shuttle service from the airport?

I will be staying at the Westin and upon calling them I find out they do not have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Is it like this at most hotels? Spending $400 a night and not getting shuttle service seems outrageous. What is the best way to get to and from the airport? Thanks

That is pretty much the way all hotels are on Grand Cayman. There is a taxi counter right outside the door after you pass through customs. They will give you a card with the charge for your taxi and the taxi driver will pull up and load your luggage for you.

In the past our taxi ride from the airport to the Marriott Beach Resort area with 5 passengers and 7 pieces of luggage is $24 .

Otherwise, you might consider renting a car from Andy's which is right down the walkway from the taxi counter.
