Our family is finally booked and we have one of the ocean front 3BR/2BA units at Treasure Island in 22 days and counting.

I am curious if anyone knows of particular units that may be better than others at this resort. The booking staff indicated that all of the 3/2 units were ocean front but I suspect some are better than others.

Any suggestions would be great. I am traveling with some teenage girls and I heard that the pool is frequented by many locals on the weekends who were somewhat aggressive toward the younger teens, as a protective father I don't see this as a means to relax if that occurs.

Lastly does anyone know where to get a property map that might help with knowing where the particular units are located.

Thanks.

fittestsurvive,

We really liked our stay at TI. We had 6 adults and 2 preschoolers, and we felt we had plenty of room. The ocean front units are all next to each other. We booked through someone privately, so I can't speak to particular units. They seem to all have the same layout. Maybe someone else can contribute on that.

We really didn't go to the pool on the weekend, so I can't comment on that. When we were at the pool, there were not that many folks there. We were there generally in the late afternoon or beyond.

I know I have seen the layout of TI around here somewhere. Check out the thread on TI in the condos section. For some reason the first few images won't show up on my computer today. There is an aerial shot that will give you a good idea of the layout.

Thanks Allison.

Were really looking forward to our trip, just over 2 weeks away. We get in town on Saturday afternoon and I wanted to get some groceries that afternoon since the stores aren't open on Sunday. How far is it to Kirks from TI. What are the other things nearby that may be within walking distance from TI that adults and kids alike can do?

Thanks for everything. This forum is excellent for gathering an abundance of information to help with trip planning.

I am terrible at estimating, but I looked at the maps on the main page. Kirk's is where Eastern Ave hits the main road. It looks like it's just at a mile. On our first trips we stayed somewhere just across the street from Kirk's and we walked into town almost every day. I guess it just depends on how far you're willing to walk.

Our whole group walked to Coconut Joe's, but that was about it. We used the car for almost everything. We did walk with our preschoolers on the beach every morning. We usually turned around at the Mariott. I would imagine the butterfly farm would be within walking distance to you.

Maybe someone else can help with the proximity of other things. We didn't have any strollers with us, so we were only able to go for as long as the boys held up.
