we love cayman. we'd go 2x per year before the kids came along. now they are 4 & 5 years old and at last i'm ready to travel with them. i love the hyatt beach suites but i got a quote (via this site) for $750 per night ...a bit steep. i thought it would be less expensive... but oh well.

we'd like to stay central or northern seven mile beach and stay in the $500 per night range or under and would like to have a one bedroom and LR or den to hang out in once the kids go to sleep. we were staying at london house which we love but there is only babysitting and our kids like to play w/others so i don't think they'd be happy. from what i remember the marriott didn't seem all that nice and the westin told me they don't offer one bedroom accommodations. the info on the discount board seems slightly outdated. thanks in advance. i really appreciate it!

Hi

Do you live where there is the beach-ocean and pool? If not, you might find that they have a really great time just hanging out. There are a few outings that you could do with them, for a change of pace......Butterfly Farm, Turtle Farm, Rum Point etc.

Now if you would prefer to have some time to yourself, then that is an altogether different issue

When our kids were little they loved grand cayman and we always stayed in condos. I will admit that they found kids to play with on the beach because we always went at Thanksgiving or Christmas. We started going when our kids were 1 and 4 and went every year. They now have kids of their own who are 5 and 7 and they (the grandkids) can't wait to get to GC this year. Actually we stayed at a place very close to London House which was torn down last year because of hurricane damage. The beach is very nice at London House.

I guess you know your kids best, but they might surprise you.

Shelly :-)
