Conch Fritters are one of our most prized specialties, prepared in a variety of ways by many restaurants. If you like conch fritters be sure to try them at:

- The Cracked Conch

- Grand Old House

- Portofino

There's something about having conch fritters and a Red Stripe that makes me really feel that I'm back on Grand Cayman.

Deep sigh...

Funny you should mention conch fritters. There was a conch fritter eating contest at Macabuca over the weekend. The winner ate 43 fritters in 6 minutes!

My GF normally doesn't like conch fritters, but when I ordered us the Conch Appetizer for Two at the Cracked Conch, she loved them!

Deal Ebanks, the winner of the contest at Macabuca at the Cracked Conch consumed 43 conch fritter in 6 minutes, which was just two shy of the record of 45 in six minutes.

I read that he prepared by getting a good night?s sleep and having a big breakfast of bran muffins, milk, coconut water and bananas. Wonder what he had for dinner!

Their fritters are fabulous, but he got me beat by 40! rolllaugh

We should have a new addition at the beginning of July, which really hampers my plans to return to GC in April. Crying or Very sad So find a turtle, drink a Caybrew or 20 drinking , and eat conch fritters daily for me.
