My husband has been known to buy a Cuban cigar down there from time to time.........he says they're available all over the island in lots of stores.....says not to worry about them not being authentic. If they say they are Cuban, they are......says in Mexico they might try to sell counterfeit ones, but don't worry about that in Cayman. He likes the type called a Romeo and Juliet cuban cigar, and he says to expect to pay between $5 and $10 CI.

Hope that helps...

Char

Scuba Char is right. With the islands being so close together and not having the trade restrictions they receive them on a regular basis. I buy them from all different places over the island and smoke a lot of them with the people who are selling them to find out more about the island. Have fun and enjoy!

For anyone else that might be new to the boards (like me) I thought I'd refresh this topic as it can be important for some visitors.

When I was last in the Caymans (too long ago, I'll add) I was able to get Cuban cigars virutally everywhere. Including the Texaco gas station along 7MB. I've seen in some pictures on the web, that there is actually a Cuban cigars "stand" in one of the small shopping centers along 7MB also. I will be getting my fix while down there in January.
