Yo, Maggi!!!

Here are the pictures I promised... and it's not even January. I don't have pictures of the "famous" places... there aren't any. Well,... maybe there are a few. If you can think of something you'd like to see, just let me know. Maybe I should get some pics of the Pyramid house, since I have made it (almost) famous! Hope everyone has fast internet hookup....

Hey Brakker! Thanks for the pictures... Much appreciated. clapping

I'd love to see pictures of the pyramid house... that sounds neat so if you get any please post them. I found it on google earth but it was pretty blurry - don't know if I could have fixed that or not but wasn't technologically equipped to do it if I could. It was good to see your pics of your family's visit also. We're staying at Breakers too when we're there in January and it looks like a very nice place. We don't mind it being somewhat remote... we pretty much expect a lot of Cayman Brac to be somewhat remote.

thanks for the pictures---

Now here's a question for you--have you been to the Lost City of Atlantis that artist is doing? I think we saw that guy hanging around Aunt Sha's when we were there

Is it finished--do people go there---pretty unusual!

I believe they have put some statues and other things in about 50 feet of water about 150 yards out from the Radar Reef entry (at the end of Kirkconnell St.) I was going to snorkel out and see if I could see anything today, but it was a little rough, so we didn't attempt it. Perhaps someone will make a report of a dive there and shed a little light on things. If I hear/see anything, I'll let you know.

Was asking around for some additional information, but couldn't find Foots. I was pointed to lots of web information which can be found by doing a search for +foots +atlantis.

Do you have dial up or high speed? Have they gotten hi speed on the Brac ye?

When we were on the Brac, the house we were in had dial up and I finally just gave up retrieving my emails--it was just so slow.

Of course, last year was the first year that we had hi speed in GC and it was so nice.

Yes, Shelly. I have DSL. Cable and Wireless recently introduced a new-and-improved faster version... not as fast as cable.... but at no extra charge. It's $40.00 CI per month, so they could well afford it. It seems that C&W's fees for all their phone services are somewhat H-I-G-H. I recently installed Skype to lower my calls to the U.S. It works pretty well.

C&W also charges for wireless hookup in the Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac airports, which I think is just plain greed. I only use my computer while waiting in Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa, where it's free.

It seems like everyone is offering DSL or cable access not---Amazing how the world has changed and how you can be connected anywhere and everywhere.

Free in those airports? amazing.! I think that you have to pay for it in Chicago and the last report was that it wasn't that stable.
