Insurance Question

We are renting a van from Andys, there are so many options for insurance. Is this the full coverage that I should get to cover the car, people in the car, other peoples property?? This is all i need right?

Full Coverage Loss Damage Waiver

$ 140.00 per week

$ 20.00 per day

Applies to Vans, Suzuki XL-7, Premium, and Luxury vehicles

Available to drivers between the ages of 26 to 65. Provides full coverage ($0 deductible) for this vehicle type. In addition, this option also covers damages to third-party vehicles.

Check with the credit card company whose card you'll use to rent it. We have a platinum card (Capital One, what's in your wallet?) that provides a certain level of coverage so we just get a base coverage from our rental place.

You might have to jump through a few hoops to assure Andy's that you have the coverage, but it might save you enough loot for another night out. dine

Yes, that's what we get.

On the Andy's website, they say in HUGE letters that no US credit cards have third party liability insurance in the Cayman Islands, which would cover the other person's injuries and damage to their car or to someone else's property if you were in an accident and it was your fault. They may cover other things, like damage to your rental car or whatever, but not to the other person's car. That's why we get full coverage......just in case.

I checked with my Disney Visa and Discover... I would assume its the same with my other cards but they dont cover a mini van... larger than san 8 seater and lucky for me Im getting a 9 seater Rolling Eyes

We are renting same from Andy's in June. Called our local insurance guy last week and was advised to get FULL coverage from the rental agency in CI. Guess it's worth the $140 seeing as we're staying on East End and driving on the wrong side of the road all week! Wink
