Motorcycle rentals

Is there any place to rent motorcycles in the Cayman Islands? I prefer a Harley but would be happy with any 2 wheels. Thank you, Nancy

Hi motochick218 -

We do not recommend bicycle, scooter or motorcycle rental; however, I would highly recommend renting a car to see all the best attractions, restaurants and beauty of the island. You will receive a discount on car rental from Andy's or Economy for being an Activity Guide member. Andy's does not discount during the winter but their prices are still competitive and Economy will always provide a discount to our members.

Please spend a little time reading through our topics and watch some of the videos and photos to help you decide which attractions and restaurants appeal to you the most. There is much to choose from and some activities and restaurants should be reserved ahead of time during this time of year.

Joe.... why does it matter what you recommend when it comes to something like motorcycle or scooter rental? If motochik218 wants that info, why shoot her down? She requested info on Harley rentals, so I'm guessing she knows a thing or two about riding on a bike. If you can't provide the answer to something, just let it go....

I am also interested in renting a scooter or something similar while down there... so if anyone (obviously not Joe) has any info, please pass it along.

bedn0009 - I have resided in the Cayman Islands for almost fifteen years and have spent a great deal of that time on the roads. We used to promote scooter and motorcycle rentals until hearing of several serious accidents (two fatal) involving visitors and two wheeled vehicles; one of which having rented from a company I was promoting at the time. I do not want it on my conscious (or my forums) that any of our members became involved in a serious accident as a result of something they read here.

I would love nothing better than to accept motorcycle, scooter and bicycle rental advertisements and the revenue that would generate. However, the best interest and safety of our members is significantly more important to me than any advertising revenue.

This is not a matter that is open for discussion so I am closing the topic to avoid any further debate or animosity.
