We had a wonderful week at Grand Cayman from Feb. 24 ? March 3. It was different driving on the left, but Chris did a good job. Every time we got in the car, he would say, ?Drive left, look right?. Had a little trouble finding our way after we left the airport but we got to see more of Grand Cayman! Grand Cayman is so clean and the people are so friendly even though they deal with lots of tourists every day. We loved the resort even if we couldn?t swim in the water there. There were lots of palm trees on the beach and I loved the hammocks and watching the boats going out to Stingray City. One disappointment was the Atlantis sub ride. We went at night and hardly saw any fish. They told us this just before we got on. I would recommend the day trip instead. The highlight of our trip for me was swimming the horses with Pampered Ponies. It was an experience not to be forgotten! We do not snorkel or dive but we love the beach. We have been daydreaming ever since we got back home about Grand Cayman and hope we can return some day soon.

Hope you enjoy viewing our photos. This is the first time I have posted a trip report so I hope everything turns out ok.

Bonnie,

Well done, you really captured the Island with your lovely photos. Thank you so much. ThumbsUp

As I look at your photos , especially the ones of the East End / RumPoint, I try to imagine being back there. Keep wishing I could give up work, pack up and move to Cayman..............but then reality sets in.................and in NJ I find myself. Crying or Very sad ............I just have to continue dreaming.

Thank you..

What great pics! You really have a wide range of scenes.... excellent choice of subjects. I looked for myself in the airport picture, but I wasn't in it. (I came through that day on the way to the Brac.)

Great photos Bonnie.

Where did you take the pic...up high...looking back at Georgetown?

You went all over the Island... clapping

Looked a little rough and windy on the side of the Island you stayed.

I enjoyed...not really as it made me wish I was there...the SMB photos including the RP web cam and looking back from the opposite direction then the cam points.

Wow...great report

Very nice report Bonnie, the pictures are great!!

I stayed at the Caymanian in 2001, we were in "The Grand Villa" !! Very nice condos... and yes the wind does prettty much blow off the sound there, but is refreshing!

Bonnie,

Wow, you really went an extra mile on your report. It sure brought back memories.

I was glad to see pics of the Grand Caymanian. An email friend of ours from Minnesota just got back from there. She said it was great. In fact, I belive she and her hubby bought a timeshare there to replave their Indies Suites one.

I loved at the pic of Bonnie and the pirate. I remember seeing the same guy every time we were in GT.

Coming back to MI is a shocker after leaving the island. At least spring is just around the corner.

Thanks for the hard work,

DS

I'm curious as to why you can't swim at the beach at GC?

So, no fish at night from the submarine? Thank you so much for mentioning that. We had booked it for the evening, I guess we'll be changing it. Exclamation

Thanks everyone for your nice comments on my trip report. I always like seeing everyones pictures of their trip that's why I posted a lot of them for you to see. I actually took about 300 pictures.

Spirtman, the picture of Georgetown was taken from the top of stairs by a gift shop, but I forgot the name of it. The picture of the cruise ship port was taken from the deck in Margaritaville. Yes, it was always breezy at the Grand Caymanian on the North Sound but it didn't bother us because the sand never blew around and it kept us from getting too warm.

Sunsurfsand, when you go on the Atlantis sub, you will see more out one side than the other. If you were standing face to face with the driver, sit on the left side.

Bonnie

Thank you so much for the report. This is great. This is where we will be staying and I really enjoyed being able to see what we can look forward to. One question though, my husband is wondering if there is a blender in the kitchen. This is a must!
