Thought I would try to post photos as I do my vacation or I will get too far behind. I will post them all to this thread. Char, at the end of the vacation you could merge them with "Thease are a few of my favorite things" if you think it best.

Thanks,

Snorkel Laughing

Too windy and rough to snorkel so I took more photos and scouted out areas to snorkel. I have included some photos of Cobalt Coast and Spanish Bay. You can snorkel at both of these north shore locations. I talked to both dive shops and inspite of what you have heard, you can snorkel at both places for free. They both have bars and resturants also. You can also snorkel right behind the Cracked Conch.

Can't wait to get in the water.

Most of day 5's photos are at Queen's Monument. It is truly the best underwater shallow live reef that I have ever seen. Unspoiled by humans and hard to find. Noone is ever there. The rest of the photos are at Rum Point. All in all, another great day.

Drive around the Island past the Morritts Tortuga Club and heading back towards Rum Point. It is about 4 - 6 miles past Morritts. Look on the inland side of the road for a small monument to the queen ( You won't miss it and you will know when you see it. The speed limit also changes about here form 50 to 30. Across from the monument is a home. The very next two rut trail towards the ocean (road) takes you to where you get in. If it looks untraveled, you have the right road. Swim out about 50-to 75 yards. The reef runs North for a very long way. It is like they took all the live coral everywhere else in Grand Cayman and put it in one concentrated spot. There is more great coral at this spot, but not at many fish. It is truly an unspoiled spot. The reef is probably in 5 foot of water. Beautiful!

Thanks for the directions.....I just printed that off and stuck it in my notebook of things to do. I really can hardly wait, there is sooooo much to do there I'm not sure where to start. Guess we will have to visit Billy Bones for a few drinks then call and see when we start our diving lessons Diana

Snorkel Buddy & I would like to start out by saying hi and we love you to our wonderful grandchildren. (Our emails are blocking all our attempts to attach photos and send them directly to them.) Spent the day near Georgetown and 7 Mile Beach. Tomarrow I will start a new trip report called "These are a few of my favorite things 6/07 continued." I think too many photos are making the existing thread load too slowly.

Off for more fun in the sun.

What's with the weather forecast on the internet. Everyday it shows rain, thunderstorms, and doom and gloom. Each day we have about 95% sun. Weather could not be better.

Today my wife and I decided to stay around our timeshare, Plantation Village. We snorkeled out front on the reef at the 200 yard bouy. Had lunch at the Marriott. Great place for a cheeseburger. Found a new beer I love, Caybrew. It is brewed in Grand Cayman at the same place where Stingray use to be brewed. It is a totally different company and a very different beer.

Hey, great pictures, Gary. Where did you take the ones of the 2 cruise ships and the leaning palm (it looks very familiar...)? And I must add that anyone who takes a picture of a beer truck is OK with me!!!
