Click HERE for the 10 day weather forecast.

Note: Don't let this symbol scare you. Half the time scattered showers are predicted the weather is fine. Very Happy

It's hardly ever rainy here "all day" unless there is a storm passing. The Current Satellite Image would indicate that the bulk of the storm has passed and it has been nice here for the last two days. This symbol means thundershowers are likely and the percentage of them occuring is indicated, in this case 60%. That means there is at least a 40% chance that there will be none at all, and if there are they do not usually stick around very long. Wink

It's been mostly sunny the last few days. I have a lot of outdoor shooting to do so it better not turn bad any time soon!

Just wanted to reassure people who are alarmed about the showers icon, as Joe mentioned. On the week we were just there, showers or thundershowers were predicted EVERY day.....we had a little rain on Sunday and as we were leaving on Sat, we had thundershowers, and other than that.....any showers were while we slept or not at all.

I see the thunder storm in the forcast for the next 10-days and I am hoping that this means only showers 'maybe' and only at night!! Laughing

Hello, I am coming to the Caymans for the first time. I have been to many Caribbean Islands, but this is my first time to the Caymans. How has the weather been? I am arriving Sept 22nd and am hoping for some good weather!

Looking to be on the island on December 7th. What is the forcast? One site says 86 and humid, one site says rain. Which do I believe?

Welcome to the forum, JRBpartyof5 Smile ,

I know we sound like a broken record, but you really shouldn't worry about the weather. Unless there's some big weather front around, if there is a "rainy day" it might just last a short while....or maybe just hits one part of the island and not the other....

If you keep checking the forecast between now and Dec. 7th, you're likely to get 7 completely different forecasts. There just won't be any way to know now what it's going to be like.

No matter what the weather, it will be warm and islandy.....no worries Palm

Hi JRBpartyof5

The other thing to know about weather in GC is that it could be rainy on one part of the island, and not another and if the rain does come, it could go away in a few minutes. You don't often get a whole day of rain.

Anything has got to be better than our weather--20 degrees and 8 or so inches of snow. Yesterday all the schools in the area were closed.

I'm looking forward to our days in the sun and hope you enjoy yours.

Shelly :-)

PostPosted: Sun Dec 30, 2007 3:38 pm    Post subject: what's up with the wind forecast for the end of this week?

I know that you take the shower portion of the forecast as "passing" showers, but I just looked at the end of this week (We'll be there Wed - Sun) and it's not looking great. Windy and cool for days is forecasted starting on Wednesday. They are saying NE winds 25 - 30 for most of the time I am on Island. What weather system is the cause? We had similar weather last year and didn't swim for two of the days. My husband told me to try to reschedule somewhere else - uggh! Any info would be appreciated
