we would have dinner there 3 times during 8-10 day stays...my son wanted to eat there every night Loved the original spot, loved the newer one, and am delighted to know there is soon to be a "chapter 3" Casanova...no doubt just as a wonderful, happy, yummy restaurant as the others were
Casanova was always a fav of ours and where my son would chose for dinner every night if he had his choice. Good food, good service, great energy and a fun place...both in their original location and the new place "pre-Ivan."
GOH, Edouardo's, Lobster Pot and other spots are amazingly fabulous and restaurants on our perennial "MUSTS" for dinner, but so was Casanova! Never warmed up to their location in the Galleria Plaza (???Mediteranian), but loved going to Casanova and will happily go there again once they re-open!
Joe - I pretty much like all good food!! And thanks for whatever you did so that I could see this topic again.
You know - all this fine dining on Grand Cayman was a delightful surprise to me. I had considered Anguilla because of their restaurants but Grand Cayman seemed much more interesting. Little did I know I'd be eating so well.
I probably won't get to all the restaurants I'd like to but I'll make a valiant effort.
I'd say fairly quickly. I thought it was just me that thought it was taking foreeeeeeeever. A couple weeks back i saw the HomeGas truck parked outside filling up their propane tanks, and it looks like there are tables and chairs inside now. Ran into Tony at the pizza place at lunch one day last week and he said soon, soon, maybe two weeks, so could be any day now.
Cracked Conch re-opens tomorrow to the public as well. Had an invite to check out their soft opening/industry night or whatever last night, but was too tired to go. Met up with a couple friends afterwards who were like "WHOA... it's SO nice there..." so I'll be putting it on the list of places to check out soon.

I understand that Cassanova's has reopened, but not in the same location. Is this a waterfront restaurant and where are they located? Seven years ago it was a highly recommended restaurant. Is that still the case?
