Hi JKman:

Living the Dream Divers rates are on par with or lower than the Cayman industry standard. They offer share and private charter dive and snorkel experiences for up to 10 people so you may want to contact them directly to plan a custom charter, such as including a Stingray City dive or snorkel stop and/or a land based lunch stop. They are all about flexibility and customer satisfaction!

I really wanted to give this place a try when I was there a few weeks ago. When I called, talked to someone, Greg or Gary? They couldn't take me the only day I could dive (short biz trip), BUT, sounded excellent! Looks like a pretty big boat for 18 or more, but they only take half or so of that. Surely this is not a cattle boat, and looks like a first class, customer oriented mom/pop operation. Will give it a go next trip, for sure.

Welcome pnwsubs.

For combined Stingray City and Kaibo you would be better off calling Living the Dream Divers or Cayman Private Charters.
The latter offers many more options now but I have not updated it yet, although you will find all their contact information.

Be sure to request your Activity Guide discounts and have a wonderful vacation.

PostPosted: Sat Jan 22, 2011 4:59 pm    Post subject: Kittiwake Dive Packages!

Hi everyone

We have been enjoying our first dives on the ex USS Kittiwake. There are already little fish making the wreck their home and there has even been a big barracuda hanging out in the bathroom, looking at itself in the mirror- how cool. The surrounding sand flat is full of garden eels, conch, sea biscuits and rays cruising past. We can't wait for signs of coral and sponge growth and more fish moving into all the nooks and crannies.

We are so excited about our new artificial reef- the ex USS Kittiwake that we are offering our dive packages with a trip to the Kittiwake included for the entire month of February!

For more information, feel free to email anytime. Very Happy

Happy diving and have a great weekend!

We're starting to review dive operators for our May trip when we are staying near Rum Point on the North Side. But I cannot figure out on their website where they are located.

Hi there!

We have three departure points depending on the conditions. We offer valet service, small groups of no more than 8 divers and real personal service on board our custom made dive vessel. We depart from West Bay dock which is close to the Kittiwake and the world famous Cayman wall sites such as Orange Canyon & Trinity Caves, we also depart from the Cayman Islands Yacht Club- slip B3- to dive the north wall & Stingray City and from Red Bay Dock on the south side when conditions permit.

We choose our sites according to the best conditions so are looking for the calmest seas, best vis, no current and of course the premier sites. We are a licensed Kittiwake Operator and one of the sponsors of the artificial reef.

We would love to take you diving or help answer any questions you have and point you in the direction of the best experience for your upcoming vacation.

A few questions for Living The Dream

1. How long have you been operating in the Cayman Islands?

2. What is your safety, accident or incident record?

3. What parts of Grand Cayman do you dive?

Hello JKMan,

Thanks for your interest in us!

We have been lucky enough to be working in the dive industry in the cayman islands for the last 12 years and opened up our own operation in late 2009. We are a small, owner operated company specializing in small groups and personal service. Customer service and safety are our main priorities and we have an excellent safety/incident/accident record. We have 3 main departure points which depend on conditions. We leave from the CI Yacht Club, West Bay Dock or Red Bay in south sound when conditions allow.

Hope to dive with you someday so you can see what we are all about.

Best,

My nephew is 12 now, can he do the discover course? How much is it? Does it include boat dives? Some details and pictures would help, or is this something from the new tours section?

Hi JKman,

Yes, your nephew is old enough. The min age requirement is 10!

A Discover Scuba Course is an introductory course to scuba diving. It is not a certification course but introduces you to the basics, allows you to try out the equipment and go on a guided shallow dive with your dive instructor. The cost for this is $110 and includes pick up from your hotel or condo along Seven Mile Beach, all equipment needed, one on one instruction, and a guided shallow dive on a beautiful reef. There is no coursework to complete before you arrive and it is all done on island with your instructor.

Call or email us for more details!

Happy diving,
